Week 36 at the Pole

Last week was somewhat busy for the IceCube detector. The winterovers took a trip out to the IceCube Lab for some maintenance tasks (covering the IceAct telescopes) and troubleshooting (swapping batteries in some power supplies), and they had a few other detector chores to take care of during the week, too. Notwithstanding all the activity, detector downtime was minimal (yay!). Otherwise, the sun continues its slow rise and the station continues to prepare for the upcoming celebratory sunrise dinner and group photo. Outside everything appears blue and frosty. Inside…tiny strawberries are beginning to appear.
