WIPAC assistant professor of physics Ke Fang was one of two members of the University of Wisconsin–Madison faculty among 126 scientists across the United States and Canada selected as Sloan Research Fellows.
Ke Fang is joined by Xiangyao Yu, assistant professor of computer sciences.
Using data from the IceCube Neutrino Observatory, High-Altitude Water Cherenkov (HAWC) and Fermi Large Area Telescope along with numerical simulations, Ke Fang studies the origin of subatomic particles — like neutrinos — that reach Earth from across the universe. She currently serves as the US spokesperson of the HAWC Collaboration.
“I am excited to work on IceCube and HAWC projects with the Sloan fellowship,” says Fang.
