We are outraged by the death of Mr. George Floyd. This is yet another example of police violence against people of color that has been unfortunately normalized by hundreds of years of systemic racism. We are aware, too, of the barriers faced by African Americans and all people of color to fully participating in the science that many of us are privileged to pursue. In the communities where we live and at the institutions where we work, the Wisconsin IceCube Particle Astrophysics Center stands for diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice.
